How do I set up my new email address on my computer?
Follow these steps to set your computer up to use your new email address.

IMPORTANT TIP: Make sure you can access your old email through the Web Browser before you complete the "Change Computer Profile" steps.
Access Old Emails via Web Browser
- Open a web browser and navigate to https://outlook.live.com.
- Log in using your old email credentials.
Important Note: Avoid sending new emails from your old account. If this is part of a migration project, your old emails will eventually be copied over to your new email account.
Change your Computer Profile to Point to Your New Email
- On your Windows machine, open the Outlook application.
- In the Outlook application, go to the top menu and select File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles.
- Find your current profile, make sure that account is selected then click on the Remove button to remove it. This step helps avoid confusion between your new and old profiles or the erroneous use of old email addresses.
- Click on the New.. button to create a new profile.
- Login to the new profile using your new email address.
- If you’ve moved from another organization, use the temporary password that you were provided.
- If you’re in the same organization and just changed email addresses, use your current password with the new email address.
- Follow the sign-in steps, including two-factor authentication (2FA), such as a text or phone call, if prompted.
- Once successfully logged in, restart your machine to clear any old login information.
